Draft for review. Not yet final.

In short

Dotable is run by [Company name]. It helps artists sell their work through private sale links. We keep only what's needed to run a sale and its records. We don't sell your data, show ads, or track you across other sites. Dotable never holds or moves money.

What we keep about artists

Your name, email, password (stored scrambled, never readable), studio city and country, optional link, language, and email choices.

Your works: photos (the original and web copies), title, medium, size, year, catalog number, location, and price.

Your sales, payment confirmations, collectors, private notes, invoice details, signature, invoices, and certificates.

The ways buyers can pay you (for example a PayPal link or bank details). Buyers see these only on a sale link you send them.

What we keep about buyers

When you claim a sale link: your name, email, shipping address, chosen language, how you chose to pay, and when you reported a payment.

This is shared with the artist who sent the link, so they can confirm your payment, ship the work, and issue your receipt and certificate. It's not shared with other artists.

If you say you're interested in a work or make an offer on an artist's public work page, we keep your name, email, message, and offer, and share them only with that artist so they can reply.

Buyers don't need an account. A small cookie in your browser proves the sale link is yours.

Why we use it

To run sales, holds, and reservations; to create invoices, receipts, and certificates; to send the emails each sale needs; to show artists their records; and to keep the service secure and working.

Who helps us run Dotable

Supabase (database, file storage, and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email), and Sentry (error reports, without personal details). They process data only to provide their service to us.

Payments happen directly between buyer and artist, through the artist's own PayPal, bank, Wise, or Zelle. Those services have their own privacy policies.

Cookies

We use only cookies needed to run Dotable: keeping artists signed in, remembering a buyer's sale link, and remembering your language. No advertising or analytics cookies.

How long we keep it

Artists' records stay until the artist deletes them or their account. Sale records, invoices, and certificates are part of the artist's archive, which buyers' details appear in.

When an artist deletes their account, their works, photos, sales, collectors, and documents are removed.

Your choices

Artists can update their profile, turn emails on or off, export all their records, and delete their account in Settings.

Buyers and artists can ask us to see, correct, or delete their information by emailing hello@dotable.art. Some sale records may need to be kept by the artist for their own legal or tax reasons.

Security

Each artist's data is private to them and protected by access rules in our database. Connections are encrypted. No system is perfect, so please use a strong password.

Children

Dotable isn't meant for anyone under 18.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for important changes, tell artists by email. Questions: hello@dotable.art.
